Hardwood Flooring

Each board is made of three different layers of wood bonded in a multi-layer construction.




1. 6 coats of factory applied UV-hardened acrylic lacquer.
2. The top wear layer is made of 3.5 mm thick hardwood veneer.
3. The intermediate core layer consists of 90 degree cross laid solid Hevea hardwood ribs, blocking and minimizing the natural movements of the wood caused by changes in moisture.
4. The bottom stabilising layer is made of 2 mm spruce veneer.

The 14mm “engineered” construction provides superior dimensional stability and excellent fit.

Finish

Our products are supplied with Marathon lacquer. Factory prefinished with six coats of UV-hardened scratch resistant acrylic finish. The finish is completely free both of solvents and formaldehyde, and complies with European health and environmental standards of wood.

Wood Species Available

Ash, Beech, Blue Gum, Cherry, Hevea, Iroko, Kempas, Maple, Merbau and Oak plus a number of stains and rustic textures.

Bamboo Flooring

Strandwoven bamboo is constructed from bamboo strips, compressed under extremely high pressure to give very high density.

1. 6 coats of UV-hardened acrylic satin lacquer
2. 12mm thick solid compressed bamboo strips
3. Precision machined click-together profile
4. Micro-bevelled edges

Finish

Our bamboo products are factory prefinished using the German Treffert lacquer system consisting of six coats of UV-hardened scratch resistant acrylic satin lacquer and . The finish is completely free both of solvents and formaldehyde, and complies with European health and environmental standards of wood.

Colours Available

Strandwoven bamboo is available in Natural, Carbonised and Antique colours.  Carbonization is a heat treatment process that caramelizes bamboo’s natural sugars into a coffee colour.  Antique has a black resin worked into the Carbonised colour, to give a striking streaked look.
